Jacqueline Silverman, Founder
Certified Senior Advisor (CSA®)
Certified Aging In Place Specialist (CAPS)
Jacqueline Silverman brings both expertise and a broad perspective regarding aging in place. She understands the key health, social, and financial factors that are important to aging adults, and the dynamics of how these factors work together in aging adults’ lives.
No matter the situation, I invest in my clients’ well-being and quality of life, for now and into the future.

Jacqueline’s natural rapport allows her to excel as a trusted advisor and resource. Her positive influence supports longevity and quality of life in the home environment; and reduces the confusion, stress, and worry that often accompanies caregiving and aging concerns.
My experience with my own parents and other aging adults ignited my desire to help people stay in their own homes for the long-term, feeling safe, surrounded by the things they love, and comforted by the notion that their age-related planning is in place.

The Backstory
Jacqueline Silverman created Aging Advisory Services after caring for her parents and other family and friends who regrettably had not prepared to age as they had wished.
As a teenager, I remember looking at my mom’s reflection in the mirror of her vanity as she talked about the importance of growing old with grace and dignity. She was a take-charge, successful businesswoman who helped so many family members and friends get through age-related issues and occasional crises.
Unfortunately, when it came to providing for her own aging, she kept putting it off. She felt there was plenty of time to plan. But there was not.
It was unsettling to find that such a bright, successful, and savvy woman ignored planning for her own aging. She mistakenly thought there would always be enough time – and no matter what, she could take care of all age-related needs by herself.
Of course, that’s not what happened.
Yet that experience, as well as similar ones I encountered involving family and friends, ignited my desire to help people take care of themselves as they aged. I wanted to help them stay in their own homes for the long-term, feel comfortable and safe, and know there was someone they could call in times of need.
So, after a 30+ year career as an educator and executive in the nonprofit sector, I started Aging Advisory Services with a mission to help people age well with the quality of life, grace, and dignity they want and deserve – in the residence of their choice.

About Certified Aging In Place Specialists (CAPS)
Aging in place refers to the ability of individuals to remain in the residence of their choice for as long as possible. It is a preference that requires planning and preparation of the home environment to fit a person’s changing needs. Preparation can avoid hasty decisions and be the difference between a family member remaining at home or moving to a facility.
The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) focuses on essential home modifications for aging in place. CAPS professionals offer options to help clients stay in their homes safely and securely. These specialists work with technology, occupational and physical therapists, home remodelers, interior designers, contractors, durable medical equipment suppliers, real estate agents, and other professionals whose services are designed to support the aging adult population.
